Pound Bizness is a pound cake business built on love, legacy, and community. Founded in 2018 by Reggie and Nicole Borders, a husband-and-wife duo affectionately known as couplepreneurs, the company has grown from a home kitchen into a beloved local favorite with fans nationwide.
Reggie, a proud U.S. Navy veteran from Tampa Bay, and Nicole, a community leader and Bay Area native, launched Pound Bizness after a family moment that turned into a movement. When Nicole fell ill in 2017, her mother, Mary Felix, and Reggie cared for her in shifts. During one of those days, Reggie baked four pound cakes using his Aunt Ira’s treasured recipe for a church fundraiser. The moment those cakes hit the table, people couldn’t stop talking about them — slices disappeared within minutes, and the crowd immediately began asking how to get more. When Mary returned home, she proudly announced that she had already taken a dozen orders. What began as a gesture of love became a business rooted in heritage, flavor, and faith.
